Forest Bathing II (30x40)

This 30x40 painting was inspired by a photo I took while hiking in Algonquin Park with my family a few years ago during the autumn.  I was prompted to capture this image while looking up at the trees, specifically the birch with yellow leaves, because the bright yellow colours against the blue sky made a fantastic contrast.  The vibrant sun-kissed yellow made me feel inspired while I also felt small, surrounded by tall trees dancing in the wind.
