Tara D’Souza is a Canadian contemporary artist who is captivated with the beauty of nature, and from an early age has been expressing herself through various forms of art. She grew up in Southern Ontario surrounded by many artistic influences in her family, (namely her mother, aunt, cousins, and grandmother).
Developing her own artistic preferences, she explored and learned to create art using various media such as textiles for soft sculpture, polymer clay sculpture, pencil and coloured pencil, wax crayons, ink, watercolour paint, mixed media application, and acrylic paint.
Being mostly self-taught, Tara now works in acrylic medium to create vibrant landscape art that is both reflective of Ontario’s natural environment, and infused with local and modern moments, aiming to evoke nostalgia and wonder from its viewers.
She seeks opportunities to partner with galleries and commercial clients, while continuing to challenge herself, exploring different imagery to depict landscape and culture relating to Central Ontario, where she lives with her family in Simcoe County and is also a member of the Barrie Art Club.
